Juan DeVarreau - Vice President

Only a select few individuals can claim they always knew what they wanted to do or be when they grew up; even fewer can say they recognized that calling at such a young age. For Juan DeVarreau, it was simply a matter of influence. Growing up watching and emulating her father as he designed and built homes stemming from nothing but his imagination and creativity, DeVarreau dreamed of one day having a career in real estate.
While she initially began her career in gaming, spending time as a casino managerial specialist for a major casino property in Atlantic City, DeVarreau soon decided to follow her true passion in life. She moved to Las Vegas in 1989 for her shot in a booming real estate industry.
DeVarreau currently oversees the daily operations at Beasley & DeVarreau Sotheby's International Realty.
Community Service
DeVarreau is very passionate in the development and aid of others and considers art education to be as essential as other areas of educational study. The high-end real estate firm has partnered with at-risk H.P. Fitzgerald Elementary School in downtown Las Vegas to expose students and their parents to a variety of cultural arts and its benefits.
Named the Beasley & DeVarreau Sotheby’s International Realty ‘Arts and Education Endowment,’ the program aims to raise the expectations of children, especially those who are not given the opportunity to have cultural education in their lives.
The firm collaborated with the principal, vice-principal and head art teacher of Fitzgerald Elementary to create and develop the curriculum for the Arts & Education Endowment. Professionals from all walks of ‘art’ including artists, dancers, songwriters, photographers, filmmakers, designers, architects, and storytellers help teach the diversity of art to students.
Fitzgerald students have the opportunity to experience art in hands-on situations, such as building model homes to present to architectural firms. Future events include art and photography contests, art gallery displays, “meet the artist” events, musical and theatrical activities, and an antiques road show.
In the future, it is DeVarreau’s wish to expand the Arts & Education program to other Las Vegas-area schools. She also hopes other Sotheby’s International Realty® affiliates across the country will follow and establish art programs in their respective areas.
